Simeon Herskovits

Simeon is Director and Chief Counsel with Advocates for Community and Environment, and formerly with the Western Environmental Law Center. He works a number of environmental and natural resource law, focusing on water and representing a broad range of citizen groups and rural governments. A graduate of Columbia University and UC Hastings College of Law, he served as Editor in Chief of the Hastings Law Journal and worked as an anti-trust attorney in New York. Taos, New Mexico.

Abigail Johnson

Owner of Abigail C. Johnson, Consulting, she is the former executive director of Citizen Alert and worked to defeat the MX missile project; manager of Nevada's rural Community Development Block Grant program, 1984-89; Nevada consultant to Rural Community Assistance Corp for 14 years and editor of Water Lines newsletter; nuclear waste advisor to Eureka County, Nevada. since 1993; freelance writer based in Carson City, and Baker, Nevada.


Rose Strickland

Rose is a 30-year Sierra Club activist and leader on public lands and water issues offering comment, testimony, public comment and coordination on local, state and federal reports. She is a liaison to many agencies on technical and legal issues. Rose coordinates the legal, technical and science team for GBWN. An avid birder and hiker, she lives in Reno, NV.


Don Duff

Don is a fisheries biologist with Utah Trout Unlimited, sampling water quality and completing fish surveys in eastern Nevada and western Utah. He is retired from the US Forest Service as an aquatic biologist. Lives in both Salt Lake City, Utah and Baker, Nevada.

Susan Lynn

Susan has been Executive Director of Public Resource Associates for 19 years. She served as a member for seven years and Chairman of the Washoe County Regional Water Planning Commission and its Conservation Committee for 4 years. She formerly served as rural coordinator for Nevada's lone Congressman and was a founder of the Truckee River Yacht Club, Friends of Black Rock/High Rock, and a founding board member of Nevada Women's Fund and Great Basin Land and Water, Inc.
